My name is Jiue-An (Jay) Yang. I am a postdoctoral research fellow at the Center for Wireless and Population Health Systems (CWPHS) and Qualcomm Institute (Qi) of the California Institute for Telecommunications and Information Technology (Calit2), University of California - San Diego.
My current works focus on the analysis of geographic information in personal and public health informatics, the implementation of machine learning algorithms in behavioral health studies, and the development of information visualization applications for Big data. I work closely with Dr. Kevin Patrick, Dr. Jacqueline Kerr, and Dr. Marta Jankowska at the current position.
Before joining Qi, I worked with Dr. Ming-Hsiang Tsou in the Center of Human Dynamics in the Mobile Age (HDMA) at SDSU, and Dr. Krzysztof Janowicz at the Space and Time for Knowledge Organization (STKO) Laboratory at UCSB, where I focused on the analysis of geographic information in social media and information diffusion in social networks.
